এটা সর্বজন বিদিত যে, শুকুরের মাংস ভক্ষণ ইসলামে নিষিদ্ধ। নিম্নে বর্ণিত বিষয়গুলো এই নিষিদ্ধতার বিভিন্ন দিক তুলে ধরবে।
ক. কুরআনে শুকুরের মাংস নিষিদ্ধতা
শুকুরের মাংস খাওয়া নিষেধঅন্তত চারটি স্থানে উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে ২:১৭৩, ৫:৩, ৬:১৪৫, এবং ১৬:১১৫।
“নিষিদ্ধ করা হলো তোমাদের জন্য (খাদ্য- হিসেবে) মৃত জন্তুর মাংস, প্রবাহিত রক্ত, শুকুরের মাংস কেন নিষেধ করা হয়েছে তার সন্তোষজনক উত্তরের জন্য কুরআনের উল্লেখিত আয়াত সমূহেই যথেষ্ট।
খ. বাইবেল শুকুরের মাংস ভক্ষণের নিষিদ্ধতা
একজন খ্রীস্টান তার ধর্মগ্রন্থ সমূহের উল্লেখ দেখে সন্তুষ্ট হলে দেখতে পাবে যে, বাইবেল ‘লেভীটিকাস্থ গ্রন্থে শুকুরের মাংস খেতে নিষেধ করেছে। বলা হয়েছেঃ “এবং শুকুর যদিও তার খুর দ্বিখন্ডিত এবং খুরযুক্ত পদ বিশিষ্ট। এমন কি সে চিবিয়ে খায়, যাবর কাটেনা। (তবু) ওটা অপরিচ্ছন্ন (অপবিত্র) তোমার জন্য”।
একই গ্রন্থের ১১ অধ্যায় ৭ ও ৮ স্তবকে বলা হয়েছেঃ “ওগুলোর মাংস তুমি খাবে না এবং ওগুলোর মৃতদেরহ তুমি স্পর্শও করবে না, ওগুলো ‘অপবিত্র’ তোমার জন্য।”
বাইবেলের পঞ্চম গ্রন্থ ‘ডিউট্যারনমী’ তেও শুকর মাংস ‘অপবিত্র’ বলা হয়েছেঃ “আর শুকর- কারণ তার খুর দ্বিখন্ডিত, এমনকি চিবিয়ে খায়, যাবর কাটেনা, ওটা অপবিত্র তোমার জন্য তুমি ওগুলোর মাংস খাবে না, না ওগুলোর মৃতদেহ তুমি স্পর্শ করবে। (ডিউট্যারনমীঃ ১৪:৮)
বাইবেলের ‘আইযায়াহ, গ্রন্থের ৬৫ অধ্যায় ২ থেকে ৫ স্তবকেও একই নিষিদ্ধতা।
গ. শুকরের মাংস ভক্ষণ বেশ কিছু মারাত্নক রোগের কারণ
অন্যান্য অমুসলিম ও নাস্তিকরা হয়তো উপযুক্ত কারণ ও বিজ্ঞানের যুক্তি প্রমাণের মেনে নিতে পারে- শুকুর মাংস ভক্ষণ কমপক্ষে সত্তুরটি রোগের উদ্ভব ঘটাতে পারে। প্রথমতঃ আক্রান্ত হতে পারে বিভিন্ন প্রকার ক্রিমির দ্বারা। যেমন বৃত্তাকার ক্রিমি, ক্ষুদ্র কাঁটাযুক্ত ক্রিমি এবং বক্র ক্রিমি। এর মধ্যে সবচাইতে ভয়ঙ্কর ও মারাত্মক হলো ‘টাইনিয়া সোলিয়াম’। সাধারণভাবে যেটাকে ফিতা ক্রিমি’ বলা হয়। এটা পেটের মধ্যে বেড়ে ওঠে এবং অনেক লম্বা হয়। এর ডিম রক্ত প্রবাহে প্রবেশ করে এবং দেহের প্রায় সকল অঙ্গ প্রত্যঙ্গে ঢুকে পড়তে পারে, যদি এটা মস্তিস্কে ঢোকে, তাহলে কারণ ঘটাতে পারে স্মৃতি ভ্রষ্ট হয়ে যাবার। হৃদ-যন্ত্রের মধ্যে ঢুকলে বন্ধ করে দিতে পারে হৃদযন্ত্রক্রিয়া। চোখে ঢুকতে পারলে অন্ধত্বের কারণ , কলিজীতে ঢুকতে পারলে সেখানে মারাত্মক ক্ষতের সৃষ্টি করে অর্থাৎ এটা শরীরের যে কোনো অঙ্গ-প্রত্যঙ্গের কর্মক্ষমতাকে ধ্বংস করে দিতে পারে।
এরপরও আছে আরো ভয়ঙ্কর ‘ত্রীচুরা টিচুরাসীস্থ। এ সম্পর্কে একটা সাধারণ ধারণা হলো ভালো করে রান্না করলে এর ডিম্ব মারা যায়। এর ওপরে আমেরিকায় গবেষণা চালানো হয়েছে। ফলাফল ভালো করে রান্না করার পরও প্রতি ২৪ জনের ২২ জন এই ‘ত্রীচুরাসীস্থ দ্বারা আক্রান্ত। প্রমাণিত হলো সাধারণ রান্নায় এ ডিম্ব ধ্বংস হয় না।
ঘ. শুকরের মাংসে চর্বি উৎপাদনের উপাদান প্রচুর
শুকর মাংসে পেশী তৈরীর উপাদান অত্যন্ত নগণ্য পরিমাণ। পক্ষান্তরে চর্বি উৎপাদনের উপাদান প্রচুর। এ জাতীয় চর্বি বেশিরভাগ রক্ত নালীতে জমা হয়- যা কারণ ঘটায় হাইপার টেনশান এবং হার্ট এটাকের। অবাক হবার কিছু নেই যে ৫০% ভাগ আমেরিকান হাইপার টেনশানের রুগী।
ঙ. পৃথিবীর বুকে শুকর নোংরা ও পঙ্কিলতম প্রাণী
এ প্রাণীটি বসবাস করতে সাচ্ছন্দ বোধ করে নিজেদের বিষ্ঠা, মানুষের মল ও ময়লাপূর্ণ জায়গায়। আল্লাহ তা‘আলা সমাজবদ্ধ সৃষ্টি কূলের ধাঙর, মেথর বা ময়লা পরিষ্কারক হিসাবেই বোধকরি এ প্রাণিটি সৃষ্টি করেছেন আজ থেকে পঞ্চাশ কি ষাট বছর আগেও যখন সেনিটারী পায়খানা আবিষ্কৃত হয়নি তখন যে কোনো শহরের পায়খানার ধরন ছিল, পেছন থেকে মেথর এসে তা ট্যাঙ্কি ভরে নিয়ে যেত এবং শহরের উপকণ্ঠে কোথাও ফেলতো। যা ছিল শুকরদের পরম আনন্দ নিবাস এবং শেষ পর্যন্ত সেগুলোই সব বিষ্ঠার রুপান্তর ঘটতো।
অনেকেই হয়তো এখন বিতর্কে নেমে পড়বেন উন্নত বিশ্বে এখন শুকরের পরিচ্ছন্ন খামার করা হয়েছে যেখানে ওগুলো লালিত পালিত হয়। তাদের এই অনেক উন্নত, স্বাস্থ্যকর খামারেও ওগুলো নোংরা। অত্যন্ত আনন্দের সাথেই ওরা ওদের নিজেদের ও সঙ্গিদের বিষ্ঠা নিয়ে ওদের চোখা নাক দিয়ে নাড়া চড়া করে আর উৎসবের খাদ্য হিসেবেই খায়।
চ. শুকর নির্লজ্জতায় জঘন্য পশু
